AKMRH hold meet, highlight demands | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 7: All Kashmiri Migrant Relief Holders (AKMRH) held a meeting under the presidentship of Sunil Pandita organizer of the organization in which government decision to enhance the relief of KP migrants was hailed by the members and various demands were highlighted confronting Kashmiri Migrants at Jagti here today. While addressing the members Pandita said, "We hail the decision of Govt. for enhancing the monthly cash assistance of KPs. It was a long pending demand and many families were facing financial crisis while mitigating the day-to-day expenses". Pandita urged Government that a CBI probe should be initiated in the whole project of construction of mini township at Jagti for KPs. There were many bunglings which will come to fore if a CBI enquiry is initiated in the Jagti project, he added. He further stated that citizens charter should be implemented by the Relief Organization with an immediate effect and non revenue staff of all zones should be shifted back to their parent department and officials from Revenue Department should be deployed vice versa. He also made a demand that elections should be held in Jagti camp. An Apex Committee should be framed afresh and the problems of KPs should be solved on priority. On the occasion Ajay Bhat also spoke to members of the organization. |
