UDHAMPUR, May 7: The residents of Jib, Bal Nagar, Thathi, Kambal Danga in Udhampur District and adjoining areas today held strong protest demonstration against the MES department and district administration for repairing Jib to Thathi road in Udhampur District.
The people of irrespective of their political affiliations with different parties, supported by local Panchayat members assembled along with Panchs and Sarpanchs at near Jib Udhampur and started protest demonstration. They were shouting slogans against district administration. They sat on dharna on the road and disrupted movement of traffic for about one hour.
The district administration has left this road as unattended and it was no repaired and black topping of the road. They have turned a blind eye towards the problem being faced by public the protesters warned to block the National Highway if repair of the road is not done immediately. |
