Temporary employees commence three day sit-in, demand regularization | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 15: A large number of temporary employees working in different department of the State under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Workers Coordination Committee today stated their three days sit-in protest demonstration in front of Divisional Commissioner Jammu Office in support of their demand of regularization. The protest demonstration was led by the both provincial presidents Satish Sharma from Jammu Sajad Ahmed Parray from Kashmir under the banner of J&K Workers Co-ordination Committee which is a non political umbrella organization of all temporary employees working in different departments of State J&K focus the attention of Governor of J&K State on the burning issue i.e Regularization of all Daily wagers/casual labours/Need based workers/Seasonal/ CP Workers/ITI Trained and all temporary employees who have been engaged after 1994 to March 17, 2015. They said that anguish and pain meted out by the previous state governments by making false promises of regularization of more than 60,000 temporary workers working in different departments of state government. We are being cheated each day, our dreams shattered and our lives ruined even after giving tireless services day & night. They alleged that number of committees & sub committees were framed by the government to resolve our long genuine pending issue but every time our files were seen gathering dust in the secretariat. |
