KAS officer faces online abuse

Kishtwar, Feb 15: A young female Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS) Officer posted as Assistant Director Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department (CAPD) Kishtwar had been subjected to undergo mental stress and trauma after some online internet users posted abusive and defamatory posts and comments on her social website facebook and whatsapp over an allege transfer of a Chowkidar Jaswant Wazir from Cherji area of Nagsini in Kishtwar District forcing her to approach Kishtwar police for registration of an FIR against the people who are spreading false propaganda against her beside also leveling corruption charges against her for the transfer of an employee who does not exists in official record of the department.
As per the details available with "Early Times" the post was updated by one Vinay Shan of Cherji having facebook ID Vinay Shan Tanha from where many people copy paste the status and circulated it in whatsapp groups with an aim to harass the female employee.
When contacted Seema Parihar informed the "Early Times" that no employee on the name of Jaswant Wazir exist in the department record as Night Chowkidar as was claimed in the post updated and circulated on social media with an aim to defame her as well as tarnish her image. She said that the post is defamatory added that she will approach the court as well as police for seeking registration of an FIR against the accused person.
"I talked to Dy. SP HQ Kishtwar Touseef Ahmed and brought the matter into his notice--- I am hopeful police will act against the persons involved behind uploading and circulating defamatory and abusive massages" said Seema Parihar. She said that during recently held public darbar at Padyarna Kishtwar chaired by ACR Kishtwar, there was complaint against some officials of the department who as per the direction of ACR Kishtwar was removed from the present place of posting added that she had also brought the matter into the notice of ACR Kishtwar who has assured her of action against guilty persons behind spreading false propaganda against her.
Many officers in Kishtwar District while talking to "Early Times" snubbed the online hate mongers for targeting a young female KAS officer online added that transferring employees up to certain level is in the competency of the officers and said that even if lady officer transferred a night chowkidar from a particular place after 17 years, there was nothing wrong in it and termed the online abuse against the officer as an attempt to harass the female officers and said that they will extend its full support to her as well as her legal action whatever she decided to go with. Meanwhile various KAS officers also came in support of female officers and assured full support to her.
