JNU anti-India event had 'LeT backing' | | | Early Times Report jammu, Feb 15: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, who has adopted a tough stand on the February 9 anti-India in the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), on Sunday made a starling revelation that whatever happened in JNU had support of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) chief Hafiz Sayeed. "The incident of JNU had the support of LeT chief Hafiz Saeed. It's an unfortunate incident," said Rajnath Singh while talking to reporters in New Delhi. He also urged the Indian political class to rise above party lines and fight the anti-national forces as the JNU incident was very serious and once again reiterated that that those involved in the anti-India event shall be brought to justice. His appeal came in the wake of the dirty and abominable role that AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi and parties like the CPI, the CPI-M and the JDU played on the campus a day before. The Congress, the Left leaders and other pseudo-secularists had visited the JNU campus to give their support to the anti-nationals and had shamelessly said that those who took action against the anti-nationals were "more anti-national". Rahul Gandhi was in the forefront and he was shown black flags. They had condemned Rajnath Singh and the Modi Government and gave their unflinching support to those who had raised a banner of revolt against India. They left no stone unturned to establish that they were with the anti-nationals and with those who wished to break India into smithereens. Their whole conduct was despicable. For, they conducted themselves in the manner Kashmiri separatists and Pakistan-based terrorists like Hafiz Saeed behave on a daily basis. Not only these pro-separatist parties, many teachers of the JNU also behaved in a similar manner and gave the people to understand that they, like the Congress, the Left Parties and other minority-appeaser outfits, were with the anti-nationals and not with the concerned and disturbed nation. On February 9, many students of the JNU with highly doubtful credentials organized a programme to glorify two executed terrorists of Kashmir origin - Maqbool Bhat and Afzal Guru. Some of the students were from Kashmir. They chanted anti-India and pro-Pakistan slogans and declared that their struggle is for the independence of Kashmir and destruction of India. They also delivered hate-speeches and raised the slogan "Go India Go". The scene was horrifying and it alarmed the concerned nation. Such was the nature of the nationalist protest that the Union Home Minister had to reassure the countrymen that the BJP Government at the Centre will not tolerate any anti-India slogan and it will maintain the sanctity of the educational institution at any cost. He, in fact, disclosed that he had instructed the Delhi Police Commissioner to identify, book and initiate criminal proceedings against the anti-nationals. It is a matter of grave concern that the Congress and similar other outfits and JNU teachers have not taken kindly to what the Union home Minister said about the Lashkar's hand in the JNU event. It's time for the nation to get united and fight out not only the anti-nationals wherever they are but also the parties like the Congress which pose a live threat to the unity and integrity of India. |
