Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 15: Invigilators are turning a blind eye to alleged open copying at the Law department of University of Jammu where examinations for first and third semester are going on, reportedly in a bid to illegally extend favour to certain students. Students appearing in the exams have alleged that some of the students are indulging in open copying and the invigilators are deliberately turning a blind eye to their unlawful activity. "This is very unfair for the students who seriously prepare for their exams", said a student of first semester. "We had heard reports of mass copying in others states and some schools in the peripheral areas, but we are astounded to see how copying is being allowed in the University" he added. Shockingly, a student with criminal background who was booked under PSA had not only passed his exams in Law Department, but he went on to clear his NET exam as well. "The incident itself is indicative of the manner in which exams are conducted in the JU, especially in the Law department" said another student, seeking intervention of the authorities to ensure clean conduct of exams so that sincere students are not put to any disadvantage. |
