Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 15: Expressing concern over the lackadaisical approach of the administration towards the issues of people in far remote areas, Provincial Youth National Conference President Ajaz Jan today said that the previous PDP-BJP Government over pushing into backburner the road restoration in remote and far flung areas. Addressing youth workers at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan here this afternoon, Jan said the roads damaged due to floods and incessant rains about two years ago are still craving for attention and their dilapidated condition is causing enormous hardships to the people. NC leader also expressed anguish over traffic mismanagement as a result of which precious lives were lost across the state and hoped that the Governor's administration will look into traffic management on priority. He said the roads need to be repaired and upgraded on immediate basis to combat the menace of accidents and ensuring smooth movement of vehicular traffic. The Youth National Conference workers also expressed their solidarity with the families who lost their dear ones in the road mishap at Nachlana in Banihal tehsil the other day. Speaking on occasion Jan demanded immediate release of compensation and ex-gratia to the next of kin of those killed. He prayed for peace to the departed souls. Sheikh Bashir Provencal Secretary National Conference Jammu, Dr Chaman Lal, Gulam Ahmed Lone, Rohit Bali, Rohit Kerni, Riaz Malik, Sunil Rana, Vishal Bangotra, Rahul Sharma and Rajesh Singh Thakur were also present in this youth meeting. |
