Early Times Report Rajouri, Feb 15: Police have apprehended an absconder, who was evading arrest for the last more than one year, from Mumbai. He was identified as Mohammad Sajjad, son of Abdul Majid of Bhari, Darhal. He was wanted by Darhal police in case FIR No 93/2014 registered against him under sections 498-A (man subjecting wife to cruelty) and 109 of RPC (an offence committed in consequence of abetment). Police sources said the accused, after allegedly committing the crime, had gone underground. After developing specific information about his whereabouts, a police team from Darhal police station led by SHO Raghuvir Singh arrested him from Meera Road area of Mumbai. He was today brought to Darhal, sources informed. |
