Kathua, Feb 15: The School of Business Studies, Central University of Jammu today organized a lecture on "Promoting Summer Work and Travel -2016, A US State Department Programme" for the students of MBA (Travel and Tourism Management) and MBA (Human Resource Management). According to press release, the lecture was formerly opened by the introductory remarks of Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor Central University of Jammu. Dr. Jaya Bhasin welcomed the guest. Prof. R.L. Bhat delivered the presidential address. Prof Bhat and Prof. Deepshikha Kotwal felicitated Vikas Manhas. Vikas Manhas, India Representative of the Taj Global Understanding delivered his lecture to make students aware of the process undertaken by the Taj Global Understanding to facilitate students to internship opportunities in United States. Under the program, students are placed in various "non-skilled" jobs throughout the United States particularly in summer or winter seasonal tourism destinations. Jobs include placements at hotels, resorts, theme parks, fast food, restaurants, grocery and retail shops. At the completion of the J-1 Program, a "Grace Period " is granted for upto 30 days for the purpose of sightseeing and travel in America. |
