Aash Foundation opens vocational training centre

Jammu, Feb 15: Aash Foundation, an NGO today opened a vocational training centre in which a sewing centre was inaugurated at Nardani village, Kotbhalwal.
According to press release, Dr R.L Dhar Secretary General(Aash Foundation said that Nardani village and its adjoining villages like sukwa in Kotbhalwal block having 99 percent SC&ST population.
Most of the families are facing food insecurity and do not have financial resources to meet their personnel needs and nutrition. So to support women of Nardani, Aash Foundation has opened this sewing centre and have also donated a type writer for enhancing typing skills under skill development training for women so that the marginalized women of the area can own a business and skill entrepreneurship.
They further said that the Aash Foundation wants to help them through the vocational centres, where the women can learn these new ways and techniques of sewing through the skilled teachers. Participants and locals appreciated the initiative taken by Aash foundation.
