Police works out four theft cases, three held | | | Early Times Report samba, Feb 15: Police today claimed to have worked out four cases of theft with arrest of three persons, besides recovery of stolen property including Rs 1, 90, 000/- cash, 20 Mobile Phones, Mobile Accessories and other valuables /ornaments. "The accused have been identified as Manohar Lal s/o Amar Nath, Mukesh Kumar s/o Girdhari Lal and Vijay Kumar s/o Chaman Lal all residents of Samba town, police spokesperson said. Police spokesman said that Samba Police headed by Inspector Sanjeev Chib, SHO Samba under the supervision of Varinder Singh, DySP HQ Samba, with the help of CCTV footage apprehended the abovementioned trio who confessed their crime i.e. involvement in four thefts in Samba town. Police said that four theft cases registered at Police Station Samba under FIR No. 01/2016, 07/2016, 15/2016 and 16/2016 under sections 457 and 380 of RPC have been worked out with this catch made here today. Police spokesman further said during their sustained interrogation and on their disclosure, police have recovered stolen property i.e. Rs 1,90,000 in cash, 20 Mobile Phones, Mobile Accessories and ornaments which they had stolen from 04 different locations in Samba town. "Further investigation into the matter is going on and recovery of other thefts in other cases by these accused persons cannot be ruled out," he added. |
