Ration racket flourishing in Reasi 3/18/2016 11:29:46 PM A B Sharma Early Times Report Reasi, Mar18: Black marketing of ration and harassment of poor people at the hands of mafia within the CAPD are new, and Reasi has become victim of this deceit which is an outcome of criminal connivance between dealers and officials of the CAPD. Bishan Kumar, a salesman at a Ration depot at tehsil Pouni, District Reasi is has become an impregnable entity to the department as well as the administration due to his deceitful ways. Bishan Kumar, has been given an additional charge of supplying ration to a nearby village Khotian in the tehsil Pouni where no depot exits. He is often seen taking a large chunk of un accountable ration to Khotian , but surprisingly delivers the same to a shopkeeper at Khotian namely Babu Ram who in turn supplies the underweight ration to the nearly 1000 population of the village Khotian. The black-marketing of wheat and sugar by Bishan Kumar and Babu Ram has become a general practice in village Kothian. Bishan Kumar when asked as to how he takes the extra load of ration from Pouni Depot for Kothian which is sold by him and Babu Ram to the gullible villagers, the former rebuffed in arrogance. Assistant director CAPD Shaihd Iqbal when contacted expressed his ignorance over the misdeeds of Bishan Kumar , but admitted that the same had been given an additional charge of supply to village Kothian. The AD CAPD however forwarded a direction to his Tehsil Supply Officer Sanjeev Kumar to take cognizance of the matter. While TSO called up Bishan Kumar for a response, he did not care to answer the query. Tehsildar Reasi Munshi Ram too did not pay any serious concern over the matter as he also sided up with Bishan Kumar . "We have seen many TSOs , ADs and other administrative officers who are of very little significance to me .
