People stage protest against NFSA 3/18/2016 11:33:42 PM Early Times Report Mendhar, Mar 18: People of Mendhar led by Labour Union president Abdul Majeed Choudhary staged a protest demonstration against the imposition of National Food Security Act (NFSA) in the district here today. While lambasting the district administration Abdul Majeed said that authorities have included the name of government offices in the Below Poverty Line category which is a cruel joke with the deserving and genuine people. He said labour class has been kept mostly away from the BPL category. He said that discrepancies in the BPL list should be removed in the lists and new lists should be prepared on the basis of factual grounds. How come a Government Officer falls in BPL category, he questioned and urged the administration to reconsider the lists and include genuine families in the BPL category. Meanwhile local people submitted a memorandum to Naib Tehsildar Mendhar Aftab Hussain who assured them that the matter will be taken with Tensildar and Sub Divisional Magistrate who will be apprised of your problems.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
