Early Times Report Banihal, June 5 : Two persons were injured after being attacked by a bear in the peripheral Khari area of Ramban. Police sources said two persons sustained injuries in their legs after a bear attacked them in Khari area. They were identified as Abdul Qayoom, son of Ghulam Mohammad Naik of Ara Khari, and Mohammad Amin, son of Aziz. Both of them were admitted to SDH, Banihal. Meanwhile, some villagers rushed to the spot after they came to know about the presence of bear in the area. While chasing the wild animal, Mohammad Raja (15), son of Mohammad Anjarul, and Mohammad Asad, son of Mohammad Ayub of Bihar, fell into a gorge and sustained injuries. They too were hospitalised. BMO, Banihal, M Y Khan said the condition of all the injured was stable. Khari police post incharge Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday said the wildlife department had been intimated about the presence of a bear in the populated area of Khari. Police have registered a case in this connection. |
