Edu Minister fails to keep his word, 20 masters transferred in Kupwara | | | S Tahir-ul Haq
Early Times Report SRINAGAR, June 5: Tall claims of transparency and accountability in the education department have fallen flat with mid-term transfer in the educational institutions in the Jammu and Kashmir going on. In a recent case 20 masters were transferred in Kupwara district of North Kashmir. Director School Education Kashmir issued an order of transfer of 20 masters in Kupwara district vide order no: 937 DSEK of 2016 dated 31/05/2016. Early Times is in possession of the order. The masters who were transferred are Farooq Ahmad Khan from BMS Doonwari to BHSS Dudi Machil, Manzoor Ahmad Mir from BHSS Lalpora to HS Chuntiwari, Abdul Majeed Ahanger from UPS Gugarpati Chandigam to BHSS Dudi Machil, Bashir Ahmad Shah from UPS Shartmuqam to HS Chuntiwari, Ishrat Mohi-Ud Din from HS Kuligam to UPS Wani Mohalla Nard, Aijaz Ahmad Ganie from MS Kalaroos to UPS Pushwari, Manzoor Ahmad Mir from BHS Khumriyal to HS Chuntiwari, Ghulam Ahmad Dar from HS Sarkoli to HS Machil and Syed Naseer Ahmad Andrabi from BHSS Kalaroosa to HS Machil. In the same way Ishtiyaq Ahmad Ganie from BHSS Kalaroosa to HS Machil, Zahoor Ahmad Tantray from BMS Yaroo to BHS Ring Payeen, Mohammad Anwar Mir from USP Tulwari to BHS Ring Payeen, Abdul Majeed Khan from UPS Khan Tulawari to BHS Ring Payeen, Mohammad Shafi Bhat from BMS Panditpora to BHSS Dudi Machil, Abdul Khaliq Bhat from HS Khanoo RMSA to USP Chuntiwari Bala, Abdul Hamid Lone from BHSS M H Pora to HS Chuntiwari, Bashir Ahmad Sheikh from UPS Kralgund to UPS Doban, Zahoor Ahmad Lone from HS Supernaghama to UPS Dudi, Mohammad Muzaffar Parray from BHS Lokipora to UPS Thali and Abdul Majeed Dar from BHS Lokipora to UPS Katwara. The order reads, "In the interest of administration and pursuant to District Development Board meeting's decision, sanction is hereby accorded to the transfer of following 20 masters of District Kupwara and their adjustment in the schools are mentioned in the order on the available posts of masters of Zone 3rd (Machil)." Sources said that whatsoever the reasons behind the transfers the Education minister should not keep the legislature in dilemma. Minister for Education, Naeem Akhter while replying to a question of BJP MLC Ashok Khajuria in the Legislative Council on June 2 said that there shall be no mid-term transfers of teaching staff in Government schools in order to maintain constancy during academic session. The minister informed that in summer zone the transfers would be carried out between June 1 and July 1 and in winter zone the same would be done between January 1 to February 28. |
