Embezzlement at Anganwari centres alleged 6/7/2016 10:49:22 PM Early Times Report Kishtwar June 7: A deputation of Self Help Group headed by Sapna Shan along with some local activists from filler B Panchayat of Thakrie Kishtwar today called on ADC Kishtwar Kishori Lal Sharma and lodged a complaint with him regarding the embezzlement in functioning of Anganwari centres in the area. During her interaction with ADC Kishtwar, the NGO head Sapna Shan alleged that not a single Anganwari is working in the area according to norms as a result of which the children's are totally deprived from getting a proper nutrition diet as directed by centrally sponsored schemes. Alleging some of the employees are found absent from their duties since last six months at these centres, she demanded recruitment of local village girls in these centres. She also alleged that some Anganwari helpers are selling government provided nutrition diet at their shops. After hearing grievances ADC Kishtwar assure them to take necessary and stern action against the defaulters.
