Jammu, June 7: A former director of social welfare department had allegedly got appointed his daughter in the department through back door in 2015. In another instance of favouritism, an influential section officer in the directorate had allegedly got her daughter-in-law transferred along with post from another district.
Official sources alleged that daughter of a former director of social welfare department was appointed through backdoor as conductress at the district social welfare office, Poonch, in 2015.
After the director's retirement, his successor to helped his daughter. Meanwhile, a section officer in the directorate of social welfare too had got his daughter-in-law transferred from the district social welfare office, Poonch, to the directorate in violation of rules, sources alleged.
"The daughter-in-law of SO was appointed as conductress against a district cadre post in 2015", sources said.
"SO's daughter was appointed against the district cadre post and under rule could not be transferred outside Poonch district", sources said, alleging that she was attached with the directorate without any vacancy.
Sources further alleged that son-in-law of the former director, who was appointed as orderly, had now been elevated as Tehsil Social Welfare Officer in a very short span of time. "The official, who was appointed orderly vide order No CDPO/V/445-48/93 on March 4, 1993, was regularised on March 9, 1993, ie just five days after his appointment on ad hoc basis vide order No CDPO/V/634-38/93 on April 29, 1993", sources said, adding that on June 23, 2015 vide order number DSWJ/Estt/10370-82/15 he was regularized as Tehsil Social Welfare Officer.
