JAMMU, Jun 7: Despite a ban on the private practice of doctors in the state , an assistant surgeon appointed under National Health Mission (NHM) at Rajouri is not only found reportedly indulged in 'illegal' private practice he is too allegedly misleading the gullible patients by mentioning fake information regarding his qualification on the prescription slip. According to sources, an Assistant Surgeon Dr Shah Amir Abbas who is recently appointed under National Health Mission (NHM) in Rajouri district allegedly started private practice just few days after his appointment. Prescription slip of Dr Shah Amir Abbas in possession of Early Times clearly stated that he had encrypted his additional qualification as DNB Ophthalmology in addition to MBBS. Meanwhile, sources in the NHM claimed that axe is likely to fall on the Assistant Surgeon as scores of complaints regarding private practice along with his forged qualification on prescription slip in Rajouri District came to light. "Following the complaints, Direction National Health Mission (NHM), Dr Mohan Singh has already ordered inquiry against him and the same was marked to Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Rajouri for investigation in this regard", said a source adding that further the inquiry was passed to District Programme Manager (DPM) NHM for investigation. |
