Basic necessities far from reach of common man: ANC | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 7: Awami National Conference (ANC) has expressed disappointment over failure of legislators to maintain proper conduct inside the House and raise questions in public interest.ANC Provincial President, S. Gian Singh stated that "People who elect them have certain expectations and it is the prime responsibility of every elected representative to fulfill their expectations. Thus, it becomes necessary for an elected representative to behave properly in the House and raise maximum number of issues concerning public. The people in the constituency feel proud when they see their representatives raising questions and issues in the assembly," Singh maintained. Singh said members have failed in their prime responsibility of taking up public issues in the assembly, which is the most important platform. Provincial President expressing serious concern over unscheduled and long power curtailment in the entire Jammu province blamed the PDP-BJP coalition for subjecting people to worse kind of harassment during the ongoing scorching summer season. Long duration black outs are giving sleepless nights to residents, who are forced to remain outdoors and stage night-long protests. |
