BJP has sunk beyond salvage: Harsh
12/20/2016 9:16:07 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 20: Accusing the BJP of changing colours like the chameleon to satiate its power greed, Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and Former Minister strongly condemned its Ministers for their acquiescence in allowing compensation to the family of Burhan Wani and Khalid Muzzaffar Wani, despite strong criticism of the same by civil society and other nationalist forces.
While addressing the media, Harsh Dev Singh said that the BJP's political opportunism and Jiggery-pokery became evident right from the beginning when the State government released separatist leader Masrat Alam who incited sedition all across Kashmir valley and persistently abetted the young blood to pelt stones at the security personnel.
He said the saga of BJP towing the secessionist lines further continued when it failed to take any punitive action against the felons who brazenly waved Pak and ISIS flags in the valley in several protests led by separatists and anti-national elements. He said that power intoxicated BJP went to the extent to issue deadline through the Governor to the Army to vacate land for certain zones in Kashmir and remove its bunkers in an attempt to implement PDP centric "Agenda of Alliance".
The BJP's skulduggery continued when it remained tight lipped over the proposals of establishing Sainik Colony and KP township in the valley which were being out rightly denied by the State government. He said that since the Sainik colony symbolized nationalism, the power hungry BJP opted to keep the separatists in good humour who were hell bent to erase the foot prints of the Army from Kashmir.
He said that refusal to issue Dogra Certificate, imposition of taxes on Helicopter services to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine similar to 'Jazia', recommendations for opening of Nepal route for return of militants, release of stone pelters, failure to take action against the anti- nationals involved in NIT Srinagar row, obnoxious bid to change the names of Hindu shrines/places, denial of Abhinav Gupt Yatra in Kashmir were some of the other surrenders and blunders that had revealed the anti Jammu and pro separatist stance of the present BJP partnered dispensation. Admonishing the BJP for being hands in gloves with the PDP for appeasing the secessionists, Harsh Dev Singh lamented that the State government's announcement of ex-gratia relief in favour of next of the kin of Burhan Wani's brother Khalid Muzaffar Wani, a OWG of Hizbul Mujahideen who was killed by the Army in an encounter last year had dampened the morale of the security forces.
He said that such egregious incentives to the families of militants had emboldened the enemy besides secessionist and subversive forces which became evident with the recent terror attack on the Army convoy in Pampore on last Saturday leaving two soldiers killed. He said that such ploy would have serious ramifications as the encouraged militants would construe that the State Government would provide incentives and immunity to them with BJP silently acquiescing in the same.
He said that in the wake of BJP betraying the mandate of the Dogras, Panthers had urged the people to observe shut down as a mark of protest on 17th December but regretted that the splinter cells and the minion groups of the BJP forced the markets to open and transport to ply. He said that BJP stood fully exposed for its treacherous intentions after having achieved its avowed mission of attaining power in the state. Lampooning the BJP for having sunk beyond salvage he said that the people were eagerly waiting to rout the Saffron party once and for all at the appropriate time. Gagan Pratap Singh Gen. Secy and Spokesman was also present in the press conference.
