Jammu, Dec 20: Expressing anguish over the attachment of ISM DG, Indigenous Medicines Organisation (IMO) has alleged that the action is the outcome of a conspiracy. In an executive IMO meeting held today under the chairmanship of Dr Mahesh Sharma, the members unanimously expressed their anguish over the attachment of ISM DG, Dr Abdul Kabir Dar. They said it had led to the defamation of the department. They claimed that the department had flourished under the supervision of Dr Dar. Highlighting his various achievements in his capacity as ISM DG, IMO said that not a single complaint had been received from any patient or field staff about the drug shortage or any other issue. The association also demanded a probe to find out how fungus had developed in medicines stored at certain centres. It also welcoming the government decision to initiate a probe into the 'so-called issue of spurious drugs'. |
