srinagar, Dec 20: The former Finance Minister and PDP rebel Tariq Hamid Karra today raked up another controversy that could woefully expose BJP when he claimed that he was offered CM's chair by the top leadership of the BJP to form government in Jammu and Kashmir. The assertions made by Karra has triggered hornet's nest as to whether Bhartiya Janta Party was feeling comfortable with the People's Democratic Party. Karra claimed during a press conference here at his residence in Srinagar, "I was offered tonnes of money by the top brass of BJP, to come forward and form government with them. Not once, they told me three times that we will make you the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, but I refused," Karra Said. "It is not only after Mufti Mohammad Sayeed died, even when Mufti Sahab was alive, BJP offered me that time also by saying that Mufti Sahab is not feeling well, as he is ailing, you take the Chief Minister seat but I denied. After Mufti Sahab's death they offered me twice again," Karra Claimed. "By any convenience or any compulsion, I am not against the RSS and BJP, but I am by conviction against the policies of BJP and RSS," he added. Karra said BJP would go to any extent to save their government in the Jammu and Kashmir. They (BJP) don't want to lose power in Kashmir and can take any step for this even if they have to pay crores for it. "At the time when I resigned from the PDP, even some people accused me that, I quit PDP because I was not given any Ministerial berth, but soon I would reveal all the issue and reasons that forced me to quit PDP," he added. Former PDP Lok Sabha member from Srinagar-Budgam constituency, Tariq Hameed Karra resigned from the party and as an MP from Lok Sabha.
