Retired Police Personnel lambast Govt for not fulfilling demands

Vijaypur, Dec 20: All J&K Retired Police Personnel (NGO) today held a protest seeking fulfillment of their long pending demands.
The protest was held under Chairpersonship, Raghubir Singh. Addressing the gathering he said that Govt's Order No. 229-f of 2014 Date 17-10-14 is not acceptable regarding pay anomalies since the effect is being given prospective which means the effect will be given from the date of order.
"With the implementation of this order lot of injustice been done with the retired persons who actually are struggling right from 1996 when 5th pay commission was implemented. From 207 and they should be given justice by giving the effect of the order at least from 1996", he said.
Singh further said that enhancement of medical allowance from Rs. 300/-to Rs. 3000/- cashless health care policy be provided to the retired police personnel on the pattern of army and other paramilitary Forces.
"In recruitment of police Departments and professional courses 15% quota should be reserved for the wards of police personnel. At least 50.000/- should be sanctioned at time of death of retired police personnel for performing the last rites of the deceased", he added.
