Jammu, Dec 20: V.K. Sethi, retired Chief Education Officer and a prominent social activist protested against the decision of granting ex-gratia relief to the family of Khalid Muzaffar Wani brother of a militant Burhan Wani.
In a letter of objection written to the Dy. Commissioner, Pulwama, V.K. Sethi said that as per the army records, Khalid Muzaffar Wani was an over ground worker of the militants and was eliminated in an encounter carried out by Army. Such a person does not deserve any sympathy or grant of ex-gratia to the family.
He said that the tax payer's money cannot be used to compensate the families of such elements who indulge in anti-national activities and cause deaths and destruction. |
