St. John's Convent School organizes annual cultural cum sports day

Jammu, Dec 20: St. John's Convent School, Mandal today organized an annual cultural cum sports day.
The event was graced by the presence of Most Rev. Rt. Ivan Pereira, Bishop of Jammu-Srinagar Diocese who was the Chief Guest for the occasion. Rev. Fr. Antony Pepin, Chairman of Diocesan Education Society, Rev. Fr. Varkey, Rev. Fr. Jose Neelamkavil, Rev. Fr. Bijoo, Tehsildar Ravinder Kumar and Inspector M. A. Giri, SHO Mandal glorified the event as special vedettes.
The programme started with guard of honour to the Chief Guest escorted by School Cabinet Leaders. The Chief Guest gracefully took the salute for the spirited event. The poised salute was followed by the welcome address which was warmly accorded by Sr. Reeja SD, manager of the school. Next, the House contingents rendered the spectators speechless and awestruck with a spectacular, impressive and a well synchronized March Past. Subsequently, students presented a dazzling display of a wide array of colourful and reverberant events such as yoga, races, drills and various mesmerizing cultural performances. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief guest, Rt. Rev. Ivan Pereira, lauded the achievers and hoped that such events will inspire more and more students to excel in curricular and co-curricular activities. Bishop also gave accolades to the principal, Sr. Jenzy SD for her constant endeavors in organizing different activities from time to time to ensure holistic growth and development of students.
