Jammu, Mar 12: A T-20 Cricket Tournament was organized by J&K Police District Jammu under Civic Action Programme (CAP) which was inaugurated by SSP Jammu Uttam Chand, at S. Bana Singh Sports Stadium, RS Pura in presence of distinguished guests MLA Suchetgarh Sham Lal Choudhary, MLA RS Pura, Dr. Gagan Bhagat, SDM RS Pura, Deep Raj, Member BCCI, Ranjit Kalra, Dean Faculty SKUAST RS Pura, Dr. MMS Zema, Dr. Harsh Sharma from SKUAST, ZEO RS Pura, Suresh Kumar, Principal Hr Sec. School RS Pura Nirmal Choudhary, Manager Sports Stadium, S. Baljinder Singh, President Lions Club, RS Pura, S.Jagit Singh, President Beopar Mandal RS Pura, Om Prakash and thousands of sports loving persons, respectable citizens, Sarpanches, Panches, students in an effort to bridge the gap between Police & Public. SP Hqrs. Jammu S. Randheer Singh while deliberating on the aim and objective of tournament highlighted the importance of sports in the physical and mental development of youth. He maintained that J&K Police is contributing overwhelmingly towards promotion of sports in the border belt and providing opportunity in various sports competition which in the future run will help in building sportsmenship, stamina, courage, comradie, leadership qualities and above all make youth good citizens. Focusing on the all-round development of the youth of the border belt who had to time and again suffer due to sudden and unprovoked border firing. This initiative by J&K Police, district Jammu will definitely be a blessing for these youths in disguise and the energies of the youth of the society will be chanelised in positive direction. |
