Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 12: Rusting the departmental orders to husk, the politically influential Sub- Inspector of J&K police has repeatedly defied transfer orders, to get more convenient postings. As per informed sources, in-charge police post Hari Market, Sub Inspector-Sunil Singh was transferred in CID wing vide order of Director General of Police, but enjoying the patronage of political bosses, Sub-Inspector defied the orders and is averting the reliving process. "Exploiting the political clout to such an extent that the senior officers in the concerned police post are also hesitant to relieve him, despite official circular about his transfer order," said sources, adding that the said person seldom attends office. They said "The Director General of Police ordered the transfer of Sub Inspector to CID wing few days back but SI defied orders and brought the matter to his political bosses, who immediately instructed concerned department to defer these orders". He added that a MoS conveyed verbal orders to concerned officer not to relieve him. Pertinently, the Sub-Inspector had earlier used his political influence to get this posting despite a PHQ circular that no outside interference in the police functioning and transfers will be tolerated. "Sunil Singh under the patronage of political leaders time and again demeaned departmental orders. Despite being transferred, no authority has courage to ask him to join the place of posting, as higher officers know this that if they tried to force him to abide by the orders, Sunil will certainly harm officer," sources maintained. |
