On route to escapism, BJP embarks upon befooling Jammu through words | | | Mishu Gupta Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 12: Putting up a postural face saving, Bharitya Janta Party now is in a damage control mode. The irony in new developments over the change of guard of media spokespersons of the party for the state, high command seems to have put the onus on the local unit rather than holding on the reins. Since the start of the process of elections in the state to its conclusion and later the formation of the coalition government in the state, the "national high command" remained in the forefront. Even in devising the Common Minimum Programme for distribution of portfolios, the high command's spot man Ram Madhav, national general secretary was given the charge which turned out to be the spoiler. As the BJP today stands in mourning against PDP's decision in isolation to release the Kashmir riots terror mastermind Masrat Alam, it is still in hallucinations as to what Ram Madhav have been doing in past to gel the coalition and give a good governance module for Jammu and Kashmir. Its recently elevated chief spokesperson, Sunil Sethi while talking to media today said that BJP is looking for a "coordination" with Peoples Democratic Party for good governance ahead , he however was not clear as to whether the coalition was not in a 'cordial' mode since its inception in state. "We look ahead for coordination between BJP and PDP that anything going against the national interest may be checked and stopped at the earnest," he answered to a query put forth. But he did not clarify as to why the both the coalition partners unable in tandem to deliver the governance in right perspective. Sunil Sethi though emphatically said that resolution likely to be moved by Engineer Rashid for bringing home the mortals of Parliament attack culprit Afzal Guru would be fought tooth and nail by both the coalition partners, but he also expressed his reservations that that legal points have to be taken into consideration before seeing into the resolution. " BJP has already surrendered to the machinations of the PDP as the Prime minister Narinder Modi himself knows that he can take the globe for ride , but for valley , he is a helpless man and has to tread the PDP lines ," said one of the senior BJP leader wishing not to be named . He said that 'power hungry' BJP would satiate all claims of PDP befooling the Jammuites and would remain in the government for full six terms while the people of Jammu would keep on suffering. Taking a dig at its 'spot man " Ram Madhav's role in the state, another BJP leader said that he has been a total disaster who failed to garner space in valley during elections and even remained in forefront in devising the common minimum programme for the coalition with PDP people and surrendered all claims of the PDP while keeping insignificant for Jammuites. "He was the person who never took local leadership as well as the stakeholders in Jammu in consideration before devising his election and governance plan and conceded secretly everything to PDP," said another annoyed senior Mahila Sanagtahan leader of BJP. She also said that though BJP high command had held on the reins of the state leadership and had directed them not speak on any critical issue, it was Ram Madhav who did all the damage and left state BJP in ruins. "When the PDP MLAs and its ministers are vocal and active on all issues including release of political prisoners while its Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has already expressed its obsession with Pakistan and terrorist openly, why Ram Madhav is shy of facing media and holds parley in secret and fears to come in public what is being transpiring between him and J&K CM," she lamented. "We are a party of feeds and not a party of spoken words. Our work shows and not our words," was the simple and escapist answer of Sunil Sethi when a question was put forth to him on this issue. |
