Jammu, Mar 12: To give a unique and different learning experience, a visit to the Pizza Hut was arranged for the children of Humming Buds, the prestigious pre-School of MIER.Going by the pre-school philosophy that learning not only takes place in the class room but also through new and memorable experiences, the visit was organized to give the children an idea of the functioning of a restaurant. For holistic grooming in today's competitive world, kids not only need to excel in academics but also become street smart and demonstrate awareness and adaptability. During the visit to Pizza Hut, the Humming Buds pre-schoolers learnt important concepts such as table manners, going through a menu, etiquettes, placing an order, asking for the bill and also paying the money themselves. This feeling of being in control and independence strengthened their confidence of being in a social place. The kids also visited the kitchen and interacted with the chef, who impressed them with his uniform and toque. All the children were thrilled to wear a chef's cap. He showed them how a pizza is made and the use of an oven for baking it. The teachers accompanying the kids thanked the Manager, Pizza Hut, Sanjib Kumar and its staff for providing such an exceptional experience to the inquisitive kids and going out of their way in helping create this unique experience for the pre-schoolers.
