Girl recovered after 6 days of her kidnapping, accused held | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, July 12: Acting swiftly, Sunderbani police have recovered a minor girl, who was allegedly kidnapped from Sunderbani was recoverd, from Katra town. Police have also arrested the accused, who is a student, while he was moving with the girl in bus stand area of Katra and booked him in a case under FIR No 46/15 and section 363 of RPC. On July 5, Pawan Chander of Sunderbani approached the Sunderbani police station and lodged a report of missing of his minor daughter. He informed police that his daughter went to school on July 5 but neither reached the school nor returned home. Police, after the written complaint by the girl's father and on the directions of SSP, Rajouri, Dr Haseeb Mughal, lead by Sunderbani police station SHO Parmodh Singh, swung into action and raided several places in Sunderbani town and in its vicinity but had no trace of the girl. Police also rounded up a few known criminals of the area but all in vain. After specific information on July 11, a police party rushed to Katra town and during search in the town apprehended the kidnapper along with girl from the bus stand area. Police identified the accused as Robin Sharma, son of Om Parkash of Sunderbani. Police brought both of them to Sunderbani and after legal formalities and medical examination the girl was handed over to her parents while the accused was booked in a case of kidnapping. |
