Udhampur, Jan 19: Udhampur police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid with the rescue of five bovine animals and seizure of one TATA Mobil vehicle during a naka at Roun Domail Udhampur. However the bovine smugglers managed to give slip to police taking advantage of darkness and foggy conditions.
Police sources said, "Based on reliable information, a police party from Police Post Roun Domail Udhampur laid a surprise and intercepted one Tata Mobil without number on its way towards Srinagar. "However on noticing a police naka the bovine smugglers abandoned the vehicle at a distance from aka and managed to escape from the spot," sources said. They said, "During the thorough search, the vehicles found loaded five bovine animals which were rescued and vehicle was also seized while manhunt has been launched to nab the absconding driver of vehicle and bovine smugglers. |
