Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 19: Authorities have taken a serious note about an illegal construction taking place at a disputed piece of land at Mishriwalla here.
Sources said that construction was stopped on the disputed land by Tehsildar north after he received a complaint that Shilpi Mahajan wife of Akhil Gupta of Trikuta Nagar, Jammu has started construction work on the disputed piece of land without bothering about a writ petition filed in the court.
Sources claimed that Shilpi Mahajan through her father-in-law Subash Chander (Aggarwal) started the construction work on large scale despite a-writ petition OWP No. 1185/2015 entitled Subash Chander v/s state and others is pending disposal before the High Court.
Sources said that Shilpi Mahajan and Subash Chander had allegedly greased the palms of a few low rung officials and started the work. "The matter was brought into the notice of Tehsildar north who directed Naib Tehsildar and Patwari to look into the matter and send a report immediately, over construction in Khasra Number 533 min to 537 min and 539", sources said, adding that Naib Tehsildar and Patwari visited the site and found that construction on the said land is going on at large scale.
"Tehsildar after going through the report of the concerned officials stopped the construction on the land," sources added. They claimed that Shilpi Mahajan and her father in law Subash Chander (Aggarwal) failed to produce land conversion and land use permissions. "Every attempt was made to somehow mislead the Naib Tehsildar and Patwari but officials reported facts to their higher ups."
