Kathua, Jan 19: Excise Department today conducted surprise visit in Kathua area and recovered 610 Kilogram Lahan.
According to press release, in order to curb the menace of illicit distillation of liquor, illegal smuggling of liquor from other states, the Jammu and Kashmir Excise Department on Tuesday has intensified raids in various locations of Kathua.
The raid was organized under the supervision of Excise Commissioner, T Angchuk and Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Shahid Saleem.
In the process more than six hundred kilo grams of Lahan has been recovered and destroyed in the Kathua by the Excise sleuths under the command of ETO, Kathua Excise Range Sandeep Gupta.
The team also conducted surprise raids in Parsochak, Ladwal , Sunjwan and other adjoining areas of the district to arrest the menace of illicit distillation. |
