Kathua, Jan 19 : Week long celebrations of National Youth Week from January 12 to 19, today concluded with celebration of "Awareness Day" at Village Jarmal. On the occasion a symposium was organized and over 50 members of Youth Clubs and Mahila Mandals participated. Youth members were educated and guided to open accounts in Banks under P.M. Jandhan Yoajana, Atal Pension Yojana to get benefits of these social welfare schemes by Rimmi Saini, Ex. NYC and Phd. scholar. Som Datt Zard, District Youth Coordinator, discussed the Social Issues like collective role of society to check and control on drugs abuse, check on dowry, 'Beti bachato- Beti Padao, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan'. A open house discussion was taken place and Mahila Mandals members raised certain quarries and issues pertaining to above discussed issues. They were also apprised about the PARYAS and given telephone number to register their problems with District Administration. |
