| Grameen Bank organizes awareness programme | | | Early Times Report
Bandipora , Jan 19 : J&K Grameen Bank in collaboration with NABARD organized awareness programme on the Pradhan Mantri's Social Security Schemes at village Sumbal, distt Bandipora.
According to press release, the awareness programme was held under the Chairmanship of RK Chhibber. Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest VK Sharma Senior Manager MF&FI Department J&K Grameen Bank informed the participants at length regarding the benefits of social security schemes named (PMJJBY) Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, (PMSBY) Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and (APY) Atal Pension Yojana.
He further informed the gathering that these schemes have been designed to provide security cover to the poor population particularly those working in the unorganized sectors. He advised the people to avail this benefit through nearest Grameen Bank Branch.
He also made people aware of new Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (Prime Minister's Crop Insurance Scheme) in which the premium rates to be paid by the farmers have been brought down substantially so as to enable more farmers avail insurance cover against crop loss on account of natural calamities.
Area Manager Bandipora MD Sheikh spoke at length about various bank schemes. J&K Grameen bank FLC Baramulla Mr Ghulam Qadir also spoke about various bank schemes and training being imparted by them.
Representatives of various Line Departments attended the programme. Besides huge gathering Panchs, Sarpanchs of the area also attended the said camp.
