PHE employees stage protest demonstration 2/15/2016 11:10:28 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 15: The hundreds of PHE employees/workers staged protest demonstration under the leadership of Subash Verma provincial General Secretary of the Association at Chief Engineer PHE Department, B.C. Road, Jammu. The protest held under the banner of PHE Workers Welfare Association. The workers raised anti-government and anti-administration slogans in the protest demonstration. The workers showed their resentment against partial decision of the present Government which has miserably failed to regularize the services of daily wagers engaged after year 1994. The daily wagers were demanding justice for them too. It may be recalled that these workers have been struggling for the last 19 year for the redressal of their pending demands such as regularization of all sorts of workers as engaged after 1994, disbursement of wages of workers month wise, clearance of backlog wages of workers, holding of D.P.C meeting and designation be allotted to the permanent operational staff according to their present assignments. Subash Verma, Provincial General Secretary of the Association! while addressing to the workers at demonstration venue has said that the present Government has regularized 302 as engaged before year 1994 workers of PHE Department and why the daily wagers engaged after 1994 have been Ieft. The present Government has done injustice with the Ieft out daily wagers of year 1994.
