NCURDS organizes workshop on Vermiculture 3/2/2016 10:09:20 PM Early Times Report Samba, Mar 2: National Council for Urban and Rural Development Society today organizes workshop on vermicompost and vermiculture here at Pace Computers Samba. Throughout the day participants were seen busy in collecting various materials ranging from garbage waste to dry plants, the disposal wastes so as to use the same in their experiments. Earlier the proceedings of the day were started with the previous day reports by the participants and discussions with the resource persons - Mohammad Jawaid Alam and Niranjan from nature Club of India, Patna, Bihar and Prof. (Dr.) Ashaq Hussain of Government Degree College Kishtwar. During this interaction session, Mohammad Alam presented detailed life cycle of Earthworm, how it lives, how it works and how degradation of material takes place and finally conversion into Vermi-compost.
