SAC may reshuffle Police 3/3/2016 12:26:02 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 2: The posting and reshuffling in police department is likely as State Administrative Council (SAC) is meeting today. Official sources said that the SAC to clear the promotions finalized by has the DPC few days ago. The SAC comprised both Advisors to the Governor-Parvez Dewan and Khurshid Ahmad Ganai and top officers called by the Governor. Notably, DPC finalized the posting of two Additional Directors General of Police (ADGP) to the rank of Director General besides two Inspector General of Police as Additional Director Generals and a Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) few days ago. These officers including ADGPs Gopal Reddy and S P Vaid to the rank of DGP while IGP A K Choudhary and Rashmi Ranjaan Swain were cleared for promotion as ADGP and SSP Uttam Chand as DIG. Sources further said that the post of SSP Jammu would remain vacant with the promotion of SSP Jammu Utam Chand for the purpose SAC would go for transfer and posting of SSPs as proposal in this connection was prepared few days ago.The officers who are overstaying as district head including SSP Poonch, SSP Doda,SSP Udhampur,SSP Kathua, besides others.The transfers of SPs and Addl SPs are also likely to be held during the SAC meeting. Sources said that the SAC would also discussed the promotions of 1986 batch officers , including SSP Deepak Salathia, Varinder Sharma, Ragiq Ul Hassan and Vijay Kumar as Incharge DIG as their tenure is touching 14 years of IPS service, due to paucity of the DIG ranks persons.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
