Srinagar, Mar 2: In order to bring about clean administrative reforms to the general public, the State Administrative Council (SAC) headed by Governor N.N Vohra is meeting today to make a second round of reshuffle in the administration.
The meeting will also take important decisions on various developments projects to be commissioned in the State.
Official sources said that SAC will meet under the chairmanship of Governor NN Vohra tomorrow during which some important decisions including certain transfers of Commissioners, Secretaries and Head of the Departments will take place.
Sources said some Commissioner Secretaries are also likely to be transferred.
In the first SAC meeting held under the chairmanship of Governor, the order of two dozen senior IAS and State Civil Service Officers of the administration was affected.
Sources also said that list of the officers who have over stayed at the present place of posting has also been prepared and is likely to be discussed in the meeting and accordingly shifted to other places.
Sources said that the SAC believes that those who have managed to overstay is contradictory to the laid down transfer policy of the State.
Sources said that there are most of the HoD's in the Government departments and Public Sector Undertakings who figure in the said list.
If sources are to be believed then a major shakeup is also likely to be affected in the police in view of the ensuing Municipal polls.
Sources said an advisor including Parvez Dewan and Khurshid Ganai has taken review of various departments before tabling the issues in the SAC meeting.
If sources are to be believed, then Governor is also expected to announce names of some more advisors.
Meanwhile, sources said that the current grim situation about the formation of Government indicates that Governor’s rule, which was imposed, is going to stay for a longer period in Jammu and Kashmir.
They said that what has given the strength to the Governor’s rule is the complete disinterest shown by the PDP, a key player in the Government formation. Though the BJP has said that the new Government will be formed however the way the Governor is going ahead with running the administration, it seems unlikely, sources said.
