Dhaba gutted due to LPG leakage | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Mar 2: Fire broke out due to LPG leakage in a road side Dhaba situated in the vicinity of District Hospital (DH) Rajouri today afternoon. However no injury or causality has been reported in this incident. Quoting owner of the Dhaba, the sources said that property worth Rs 35000/- got damaged in the fire. They said the incident took place at about 2 pm, when the when fire broke out due to leakage of LPG gas and it engulfed the chairs, tables and other items inside the Dhaba. The owner of the dhaba and the people tried to control the flames initially but failed while the Fire Department too was informed. "At about 2.15 we received the message about fire in a Dhaba some 2 kms from our Station and within five minutes our team along with fire tenders reached the spot and doused the fire. "Two filled LPG cylinder were also removed safely from inside the Dhaba," said RC Raina, AD Fire Services. Meanwhile Hamid Choudhary, DySP HQs and Chaman Gorkha, SHO along with police team also reached the spot and controlled the situation. Timely action by the Fire Service personnel has saved the Grameen Bank at first floor and residential accommodation in the basement. Meantime the Police has started investigations into the incident. |
