jammu, June 18:Police today arrested a bootlegger and recovered 39 Poly Pouches during a naka checking conducted in holy town,Katra of Reasi district. Police spokesperson said that the accused has been Identified as Mukesh Kumar s/o Mohan Lal Caste Bhagat of Pura Chak Tehsil Satwari District Jammu.
According to police, the accused was on way from Jammu towards Katra when he was intercepted by a police naka party and during his frisking the police team recovered 39 Poly Pouches (250 ml each) of J&K excise liquor from his possession..
In this connection, a case FIR No. 108/2016 u/s 48-A Excise Act, 188/RPC stands registered at P/S Katra and investigation of the case is in progress."The catch was made by police team led by SHO Katra namely Sanjeev Sharma, police said. |
