Early Times Report

Reasi, June 18: The education system of the state has run into rough weathers despite the larger claims of the government as many lacunae have been reported from different districts of Jammu and Kashmir .
In one such case a Government Middle school at Sangad at Shivkhori in District Reasi , the number of teachers in the school are reported to be six to the 73 pupil studying in the school.
However the apathy is that out of six, only one ReT teacher report to the duty at the school regularly while the other five who own influence in the area keep their attendance rolling in the school and seldom attend the school.
This has led to the drop in the educational quality of the school as only one teacher namely Sanjay Kumar reports to his duty religiously only.
As per the sources the other five teachers have made an arrangement that they will be attending the school on the rotational basis only .
In this regard, the turn of the one teacher comes after the fifty days and he enjoys his offs, which are regularly punched in the attendance register when he returns back to his duty.
The attendance register available with The Early times clearly shows the space left vacant by a particular teacher who is on rotational off from the school where his attendance column is empty for past 8 days.
this has led to taking of the serious cognizance of the fact that why these teachers do not attend the school regularly and who are at the helm who do not take the cognizance of their fault.
The Chief Education Officer Reasi Vinod Kumar Saini has no answer to this as he has cit sorry figure to many applications sent to him by the local people to look into the fault.
Same is the case of Gopal Dass, the Zonal Education Officer who also does not have any information in this regard.
But the sources who remain close witness to such act of the teachers inform that a particular teacher who turns for his duty after the forty days of the absence first goes to the CEO and then to ZEO and later joins his duty, fills up the vacant columns of his attendance and then again leaves the school.
The people of the area are of the firm view that all these five teachers have made a good clout with the CEO as well as the ZEO and hence are enjoying their offs on the rotational basis while sending the entire educational pattern of the Middle School, Sangad to destruction.
They also allege that even the Director Education Jammu as well as the commissioner secretary education too have the knowledge of such frauds committed by the five teachers in the school , but have kept a closed eye on the issue, the reason best known to them,
The people have issued a warning to the state administration to rectify the wrong or they will strike the roads.
