Govt. Offices, Schools remained closed on the call of EJAC

Kargil, June 18: Kargil/ Students Seen returning from Girls Higher Secondary School Kargil and other Schools in Kargil town and government offices were locked till 12 noon and further for the whole day as a complete shutdown was observed on the call of Employees Joint Action Committee Kargil.
Talking to our correspondent Anayat Ali President EJAC Kargil Mohamamd Mukhtar Khan told that EJAC Kargil was forced to call for this shutdown as the Government has not listened to their problems and demands. He told that EJAC Kargil is demanding release of Special Duty Allowance (SDA), removal of Pay Anomaly, regularization and enhancement of wages of daily wagers/casual labourers and the release of honorarium/ dues of Anganwari Workers which are pending since January 2016 and also demanding enhancement of their honorariums.He further added that EJAC Kargil through this strike is informing the government to fulfill their demands and if these demands were not fulfilled soon than the employees will again go on the same path. This strike has affected the day to day life of the public and the daily routine work in government offices has affected a lot.
