Doda, June 18: Doda police arrested one absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past 18 yrs during a raid conducted in Gandoh of district Doda.
As per police, on the tip-off of reliable sources, a Police party from P/S Bhaderwah led by SHO P/S Bhaderwah conducted a raid in Gandoh on yesterday and arrested the absconder.
"The accused has been identified Mushtaq Ahmed S/O Mohd Ramzan Sheikh R/O Soti, Tehsil Gandoh, police said,
"Mushtaq Ahmed of Soti, Tehsil Gandoh, was involved in case FIR No.271/1998 U/S 354 RPC of P/S Bhaderwah and evading his arrest since long," police said, adding, "later the court of Sub Judge Bhaderwah has issued a warrant U/S 512 CrPC against the absconder on 11/10/2011."
After his arrest, the absconder was produced in the Court at Bhaderwah, from where he has been further sent to judicial lock up. |
