Jammu, June 18 : Duty Magistrate, Jammu, Vinod Kumar today granted 13 days judicial remand of ex-SHO of Khour police station, Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta and SPO Mamta Kumari who are allegedly involved in a rape case.
Mamta was alleged to have facilitated the alleged act. When police produced both of them before the court and sought their 15 days judicial remand, the duty magistrate observed that the offences were vary heinous in nature and the investigation of the case was still in progrees, so this court was stasified that there was sufficient ground for granting the judicial remand of the accused as it was just and necessary for the purpose of further investigation of the case.
With these observations, he granted their 13 days judicial remand upto June 30 with the direction to produce them before the court on that day. |
