Rs 298.76 Cr for Dal Lake conservation, Rs 356 Cr or rehabilitation of Dal dwellers | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, June 18: The government of Jammu and Kashmir in reply to a written of MLA Habba Kadal today stated that for conservation and management o the Dal/Nigeen Lakes, Rs. 298.76 Crore has been sanctioned by the government of India under National Lake Conservation Program (NLCP)against which an amount of Rs. 273.85 Crore stands released by the Government of India. The reply further stated that out of Rs. 273.85 Crore released by the Government of India, an amount o Rs. 262.92 crore has been incurred up to April 2016. The government o India under Resettlement/Rehabilitation of slum dwellers of Dal and Nigeen Lakes costing Rs. 356 Crore has also been sanctioned under PMRP on account of Land and structures acquisition added that out of said sanctioned amount, Rs. 83.18 crore has been released out o which Rs. 40.95 Crore has been inquired till date. Beside above sanctioned amount; an amount of Rs. 416.72 for development of site at Rakh-i-Arth for the rehabilitation of the families dislocated from Dal and Nigeen Lakes for preparation of site and provision of infrastructure like road, water supply, electricity, drainage and sewerage and other community facilities and providing house units to the dwellers is also under implementation under state plan and central assistance. The project involves the construction of 10600 dwell units and around 2129 plots developed out of which 1700 have been allotted while 298 dwelling units has been completed till date. |
