Srinagar, July 18: Amid pressure from the BJP high command to "perform or perish" the BJP ministers in Jammu and Kashmir are on tenterhooks and they have asked their close aides in the administration to prepare their achievement list and give it wide publicity, sources told Early Times.
They said the BJP high command has taken a serious note of the "underperformance" of the BJP ministers and has asked them to come up with their report card. "The BJP ministers had to cut a sorry figure at a recent meeting of the BJP leaders which was chaired by the party president Amit Shah in New Delhi on July 12," sources said.

Insiders told Early Times that Director of CDC, JU, Jai Kumar allegedly forced the Chief Librarian to purchase the books for his daughter who is pursuing post-graduation in surgery from ASCOMS, Sidhra, Jammu.

SRINAGAR, July 18: There was no let up in stone pelting and protests on Eid-ul-Fitr in the Kashmir Valley, affecting festive celebrations.
After the congregational Eid prayers, roadside protests were witnessed in various areas of Srinagar and in south Kashmir's Anantnag district while police and paramilitary forces resorted to teargas shelling to disperse the mobs.

Jammu, July 18:Jammu, July 18: Three projects sanctioned under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) for the Sericulture Department of J&K are still hanging in the balance.
The government of India sanctioned the three projects at an estimated cost of Rs 115 lakh. "But the Sericulture Department has utilized only Rs 31 lakh till date," sources told Early Times.
The three projects were sanctioned under the Centre-sponsored scheme.
The first project-construction of rearing houses-was estimated to cost around Rs 27 lakh, while the supply of rearing kits project was estimated to cost around Rs 22 lakh.
