TOP STORY OF THE DAY
Mr Jitendra, Art 370 was dropped even before formation of alliance
Yet another BJP U-turn
6/2/2015 12:28:42 AM
Early Times Report JAMMU, June 1: The BJP is becoming an object of ridicule with each passing day. It itself is responsible for its widespread criticism, unpopularity and loss of face and loss of people's faith. It doesn't know its goal. It is utterly confused. It has no ideology worth its name. Its ideology is only power. It compromises its ideology in a most brazen manner. Its slogan of Bharat Mata Ki Jai is a mere slogan. It is not committed to it. Actually, it daily insults Bharat Mata. The Prime Minister had not raised the slogan of Bharat Mata Ki Jai when he addressed his maiden election rally in Srinagar during the assembly elections. This he did for the first time after February 2013. He also happens to be the first Prime Minister who forced an army commander in Kashmir to tender an apology for the incident in which a couple of undesirable Kashmiri youth and he himself acknowledged it. These are the views of the general public in Jammu. The "cheated" people of Jammu have a number of times used very strong words against the BJP and said: "The stand of the BJP on beef eating...

Jammu's nationalist pressure
6/2/2015 12:28:30 AM
ET Report JAMMU, June 1: Jammu province is the only region in the country which has been fighting a relentless pro-India ideological war against the anti-nationals and pro-Pakistan elements in Kashmir ever since the state's accession to India on October 26, 1947. The brave and committed people of this province have defeated many anti-India movements in Kashmir. It's a long history that is inspiring. It was also because of their unique role and the role of martyr Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, coupled with supreme sacrifices, that the state got integrated into India to a considerable extent. They are the only fully trained people who are capable of defeating anti-nationals despite heavy odds, inc...

In the name of friendship, Coalition members take state chopper for a `ride'
6/2/2015 12:28:18 AM
Early Times Report JAMMU, June 1: Nobody denies that the persons involved in a coalition must have strong social bonds as well. But these bonds need should not be strengthened by punching holes in the state exchequer. The persons desirous of such bondage must spend out of their own pocket. Jammu Kashmir is cash starved state. Even salaries of employees and contractor's bills are managed by doing adjustments here and there. The state, therefore, cannot afford such luxuries. The state machinery cannot b misused even by the ministers and bureaucrats. According to law of the land, it is not allowed and cannot be justified. The former Presdent of India, Pratiba Patil took her relatives...

6/2/2015 12:27:50 AM
Early Times Report JAMMU, June 1: Frustrated by response of the common masses to the on-going stir against shifting of AIIMS to Kashmir Valley from Jammu, the "arrogant" leadership of BJP is brazenly trying to create division among constituents of Coordination Committee for AIIMS.
