JAMMU, June 1: A day after his transfer, former Director, Rural Development Department, Jammu made bulk transfers without informing higher authorities. The orders were, however, kept in abeyance by his successor.
Highly placed sources in the department told Early Times that the outgoing Director, Ghulam Nabi Balwan has made around 80 'illegal' transfers and promotions under 14 different orders issued on May 19, despite his transfer from the post.
However, new director Manohar Lal Raina kept the orders in abeyance.
