JAMMU, Dec 22: After State Vigilance Commission (SVC), the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has also taken cognizance of complaints about alleged irregularities in Jammu University (JU) and referred the issue to the Vigilance Wing of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
Recently, the SVC had issued a notice and called for a detailed report from Registrar of the Jammu University regarding complaint of nepotism and misappropriation of funds. The complaint had been filed by Narinder Singh Raina, general secretary of the National Secular Forum. He had levelling allegations of malpractices, favoritism, and other gross irregularities.
