NCP for construction of Batote-Tibet road link

Jammu, June 9: Former Minister and NCP State President, Thakur Randhir Singh today appealed the state as well as central government for construction of a road link from the Batote area of Jammu to the Tibet to counter the threats of China.
He said this while addressing many senior leaders of NCP from Kishtwar, Doda, Poonch and Rajouri districts who called him here in Jammu today.
"If China could bring train to Tibet why not Indian government take this national project for our brave and nationalist people of Ladakh who have been forsaken by the successive governments", he said.
NCP also appealed for reviving Jammu-Rajouri -Poonch rail project and its execution on fast track basis to connect twin border districts with Jammu.
Thakur has appointed High Power Committee led by Dr Liauaqat Ali Magray , Vice President NCP , R S Billowaria, Aizaz Hussain Naik State Secy NCP, Kuldeep singh Jaral and Gulab Chand Bhagat to work on this project and to present a detailed project in this regard to the Indian Prime Minister.
